THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE RXP 3060 (previous model) - I had plantar fasciitis going into the mid season of my training for Ironman Wisconsin in 2008. I went to the Walking Company while visiting Indianapolis and the rep told me about these shoes being good for plantar problems. I was in pain. Any run was beginning to cause pain and I was running 15 miles on my long runs (not to mention the pin on the bike) when I went to the store for help.
I was hesitant because although I heard of and actually had a pair of ecco shoes, I never knew much about the performance shoe.
Boy was I happy. I completed the IMW course in a personal best and my run was flawless.
I actually took my finishers photo holding and pointing to my shoe because they saved me and helped my plantar issues. You also need ice and stretching to really heal but these were a fantastic help.
I have run with Nike, Asics, Rebook, New Balance (had them for a long time until there new model switch caused me knee pain). When I was younger these shoes all worked for me for various reasons. The new balance was my best show ever until this ecco. I am 46 and over pronator and need support and cushion. I am lightweight but a heavy runner.
We all have certain shoes we love but if you're searching for a stability shoe not too heavy (a little heavy but hey unless your on the podium or need an extra 2 seconds per mile for Boston the weight is well worth the cusion and balance) to run a marathon in and provides great support and forward motion give this a try...maybe I will see you at the finish line in 2010 my next IM thanks to Ecco
